We are very happy to welcome Strong Mums Club into the studio! A personal training company specialising in postnatal strength training and body transformations. Their mission is to empower new mums to feel strong, healthy and confident in their postnatal body and what it can do. Strong Mums Club has recently been awarded 'Class Of The Year' at the Active Pregnancy Foundation Awards 2023. Their in-person classes are designed to help you reach your strength goals, get those endorphins flowing and make connections with other local mums. No need for childcare, babies are welcomed (and fully encouraged) to classes.
The class is designed for new mums and will focus on circuit training using TRX and dumbbell weighted exercises to rebuild your postnatal body and build lean muscle. Strong Mums Club mum & baby workouts are designed to increase strength, improve fitness and address postnatal postural issues. Suitable for all fitness levels, our classes can be adapted to an intensity level that suits you and will progress in intensity as you get stronger. This class will leave you feeling strong, energised and positive as you head into the rest of your day with your little one.
Strong Mums Club - Restore, Strengthen & Stretch with Daisy
10.30-11.30am every Monday - £13 single session
This class is specific to postpartum rehabilitation with an emphasis on reconnecting to and strengthening both you your pelvic floor and core (and helping your heal any diastasis recti). Alongside strengthening the body this class also provides the opportunity to slow down to stretch to get the flow of energy back to those areas of the body that feel stagnant after pregnancy. This class will help you build a strong strong foundation of core strength and feel a little bit more like yourself again. :)
This is a gentle postnatal exercise class suitable from the early stages of postnatal recovery. As with all our sessions we offer a super chilled, baby friendly environment (babies definitely welcome). This class is taught by Daisy who is a mother of two (her youngest is just four months) and an advanced yoga and fitness instructor. Daisy has a deep and empathetic understanding of how to connect to your pelvic floor and core after pregnancy and birth and has healed her own (8 finger wide...!) diastasis recti twice...

Pregnancy and Postnatal Yoga with Katrina
Pregnancy Yoga from 8.00-9.00pm every Tuesday // Postnatal Yoga from 11.00-12.00 every Friday - £13 single session
Prenatal Yoga has so many benefits in pregnancy and for labour and birth, helping to: maintain optimal alignment as your posture changes, build strength and mobility and give you tools to reduce your stress in day to day life. I believe that you should feel strong, capable and empowered in this time and a lot of information out there (don't do this, don't do that - without any explanation!) can make us fear our bodies and birth. So while we will do relaxation practices, we will also maintain and build strength in a mindful way to accommodate your incredible, changing body.
Postnatal Yoga provides a space to bring your baby, be with others and also focus on yourself for an hour. These sorts of classes were everything to me when I had a babe in tow - boosting my mood, helping my body and mind and even giving me more patience and energy the rest of the day. With a personal understanding of diastasis, prolapse and the postpartum journey, I hope to help you connect to your body, have a moment to breathe and even relax! The focus will be on you so we will not be singing and sitting - there are plenty of other classes like that! We'll work on optimal alignment, strength and mobility - focusing on common areas of tension and weakness post pregnancy. You can rest, feed and change as you wish!
Positive Birth and Hypnobirthing Workshop with Katrina
This is a 3 hour workshop, please contact Katrina for upcoming dates - £80 per ticket (birth partners welcome and included with the ticket price)
Prepare for a positive birth by learning:
The physiology of birth and why increasing your confidence and ability to relax more quickly and deeply matters.
Hypnobirthing and positive birth practices such as guided relaxations, massage, birth positions and tips, etc.
What you can do now to prepare - including complimentary mp3s to practice with, how to help baby into an optimal position for birth and more.
This would be great for someone who has done hypnobirthing previously or is doing another full antenatal course; otherwise, I would recommend doing the full course if you're able to as there is just so much to cover it's impossible to condense it to three hours. I'll send resources for you to do your own follow up research if needed, but there's so much information it's often easier drip fed over four weeks and put into context for you! There is a full course coming up in October and December.

Hypnobirthing with Katrina
Please contact Katrina for upcoming dates
£325 including partner + four mp3s, hypnobirthing book and folder. This is a ten hour course, plus a one hour follow up online. You will also have Katrina’s support through to the fourth trimester.
‘There is so much about pregnancy and birth that we are never taught. A hypnobirthing course is an opportunity to learn it all and feel more confident and prepared in your pregnancy. Knowing the physiology of your body (hormones, nervous system, anatomy) is hugely confidence building on its own, but we also look at how you can positively affect these natural systems to help your body birth more comfortably (and what might inhibit them). We also consider the choices you may come across in pregnancy and birth so you feel informed and in control of what matters most to you. If you choose to have a birth partner, they will learn all about birth and how to support and advocate for you. I love watching partners go from "wanting to support you" to becoming an integral part of the experience. While birth may not always go to plan, it is incredibly powerful and life changing. Understanding how to feel more comfortable and calm, and having the confidence to choose the care that's right for you, can make your pregnancy and labour all the more empowering and positive.
I have a BSc in human biology and have been teaching yoga since 2011 and hypnobirthing since 2019. These are small group courses so everyone has time to get to know one another and ask questions. Please message me if you're interested and I can send you more info. I'd love for you to join us.’
