Victoria Park Osteopaths
Osteopathy with Alex, Christina and Max
Our aim is to help you become pain free. We are an integrated team providing a system of diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of pain induced conditions. Our VPO osteopathy, massage therapy and reflexology treatments are suitable for the whole family.
Victoria Park Osteopaths HQ is located in the heart of Victoria Park Village and we have been serving the local community here for 15 years. Our team of six osteopaths have a wide variety of special interests and clinical experience, from sports injuries to postural issues to problems associated with pregnancy and infancy.
Our approaches to treatment cover a wide spectrum of osteopathic techniques, including very gentle “cranial” osteopathy and more direct “structural” techniques such as gentle joint mobilisation as well as soft-tissue and muscle and joint stretching. You can read more about Osteopathy and its application here.
Massage Therapy with Sarah
Massage therapy is an intuitive treatment where the therapist uses different pressures, movements and techniques to manipulate soft tissues in the body, this includes muscle, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and skin. The aim is to slow down the nervous system and release tension in the body. Massage therapy can help:
Reduce muscle pain and tightness
Improve flexibility
Improve blood circulation
Relieve stress
Promote relaxation through the release of endorphins
It can be very beneficial in combination with osteopathy to improve the work of the immune system and promote healing. Massage therapy can also be used as regular maintenance to keep soft tissues healthy.
Clinical Reflexology with Uta
Reflexology combines Chinese Meridians with traditional Zone therapy which establishes the interrelationship between feet and body. Each foot is made up of 26 bones, 30 joints, more than 100 muscles, tendons and ligaments and around 7000 nerve endings, all of which work together to provide support, balance and mobility.
In light of these complexities, it is not surprising that our feet are extremely sensitive to touch, pressure, temperature and pain. Reflexology is all about using the thumbs to apply pressure and manipulate reflex points to unblock nerve canals from detrimental obstruction and each pressure point corresponds to specific organs in the body.
Reflexology aims to reduce the symptoms of Stress, Tension or migraine headaches, Arthritis, Menopause, Menstrual pain, Back pain and other ailments. Reflexology is suitable for all ages and may bring some relief from a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.
